"King of Devil's Island" is based on true events that occurred at Bastøy Prison in Norway, where boys aged 11 to 18 live by a sadistic regime, run by the guards who give them mental and physical abuse on a daily basis. When new boy Erling arrives at the prison, he puts plans in place to escape Bastøy. But how far is Erling willing to go for his freedom.
Filmed in Estonia, it has been Directed by Marius Holst (Dragon Fly, Mirush) and stars Stellan Skarsgård as Håkon, Benjamin Helstad as Erling "C19", Trond Nilssen as Olav "C1", Kristoffer Joner as Braaten and Ellen Dorrit Petersen as Astrid.
