Although Eisenberg only appears for a short time, the DVD released in August features a full size image of his face on one of the covers with the actors name written clearly at the top in large lettering, no other actors image or name appears on the cover. Eisenberg revealed that he was only paid $3,000 for his role in the movie and it was done as a favour to some friends of his who were Producing and Directing it.
He is now demanding more than $3 Million in damages, which is around the same amount as the budget for the movie.
Eisenberg is accusing "Lionsgate" and "Grindstone Entertainment" for trying to cash in on his success in movies such as the Golden Globe and Academy Award Winning movie "The Social Network", in which he played "Mark Zuckerberg", the founder of Social Networking website "Facebook", he says that they are trying to mislead consumers into buying the movie which features him for a very short time.
A 15 page legal complaint begins states "Jesse Eisenbery is a well known young actor who is perhaps best known for his critically acclaimed starring role in the motion picture Zombieland, a horror comedy and surprise hit of 2009, and for his portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in the motion picture The Social Network, for which he was nominated for both a Golden Globe and Academy Award in the Best Actor category.
As a favour to friends, who were producing and directing a low budget horror film called Camp Hell, Eisenberg agreed to perform for one day on the film in a small cameo role for minimal compensation".
But as many low budget movie makers will know, getting a successful Hollywood actors name on the front cover can attract a huge amount of sales, and with Eisenberg's name clearly on the cover of "Camp Hell", that would certainly have been true for this movie.
You can watch the trailer for the movie below, in which Eisenberg appears several time.
