Anna Ternheim punctuates the release of her new album "The Night Visitor" with the unveiling of the short performance doc "The Fingerpicking Party". The film captures a back porch hang at album engineer Dave Ferguson's house outside Nashville in Goodlettsville, TN. Watch as Anna, her friend & producer Matthew Sweeney (of Chavez), Ferguson, and a cast of other talented Nashville area musicians spend a lazy afternoon and evening playing songs, drinking beers, and eating southern cooking shortly after completing recording. Interspersed are shots of Anna in Nashville, and NYC, the Stockholm native's home since 2009. Anna will re-create the mood caught on film with an intimate performance with Sweeney and Ferguson at Rockwood Music Hall June 26th in New York City. With the release of her most previous album "Leaving on a Mayday", Ternheim won considerable critical and commercial success in her native land, taking home the Swedish Grammys for "Best New Artist" and "Album of the Year." But in 2010 she sought out a change of scene and left the familiar confines of Stockholm for New York City. It was there that she would reach out to her friend Matt Sweeney to play him the new songs she'd been writing. Stunned by their haunting beauty, Sweeney presented an idea he had harbored for some time; the two of them taking their business to Nashville. And so in early 2011 it was there that they began work on "The Night Visitor".
